NHS Students Head to Elementary Schools for Read Across America
Every year, schools everywhere celebrate 'Read Across America' held in honor of Dr. Seuss. North High School students who are members of Raiders Against Drugs and Alcohol (RADA) and the Blue Crew headed out to SASD elementary schools to read Dr. Seuss books to students. We don't know who had more fun - the high schoolers or the elementary school students. Either way, it was a great day!

Over 40 North High School students from Raiders Against Drugs and Alcohol (RADA) and Blue Crew (freshmen orientation/school ambassador group) read to students at elementary schools across the district at Grant, Longfellow, Lincoln-Erdman, Jackson, Wilson, Jefferson, Pigeon River, Cooper, and James Madison on Friday.

Read Across America is meant to promote enthusiasm for reading and encourage life-long readers. The annual event is celebrated on or near the birthday of Ted Geisel, who is famously known as Dr. Suess.
