A2 Students Continue Tradition of Community Service
Students at A2 Charter School spent the morning of Thursday, May 10, at Kohler-Andre State Park helping with annual spring clean-up chores. Student shoveled sand dunes that had drifted and shifted over the winter and pulled bushels of Mustard Garlic, an invasive species that threatens local plant life. This has become an annual act of community service for this charter school that is for accelerated and independent learners and shares a campus with Jackson Elementary School. Teachers, Sandy Spatt and Kathy Nelesen accompanied the children on the outing.
