Target Celebrates Day of Education with ESAA and Grant School
On October 25, a team of Target associates visited Grant School and the Elementary School for the Arts and Academics (ESAA). The Grant/ESAA PTO participates in the Take Charge of Education program in which Target donates a percentage of purchases to the organization chosen by the Target credit card holder. Through Take Charge of Education, PTO has received $3,276.00 since 2004.
In addition to presenting the PTO with a check, the Target team spent the morning volunteering in the building. In order to make the library space more flexible and functional, wheels were installed on four large bookcases. The Target team helped by emptying the shelves and reloading the books after the wheels were installed. In addition the Target Team joined the primary students for recess and then helped out with “Pumpkin Math Centers” in Mrs. Ann Meseck's 1st grade and Mrs. Kelly Schmitz's 3rd grade classes.
