Jefferson Elementary School Celebrates Red Ribbon Week
Jefferson Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 24-26. The theme this year was “These ‘PAWS’ Don’t Touch Drugs”. PAWS is a reference to Jefferson Elementary School’s positive behavior reward slips.
Red Ribbon Week events included a bookmark coloring contest, red shirt/sock day, and an all school assembly. Winners of the bookmark contest received a bag and a certificate. The celebration was sponsored by the school’s Above the Influence group.
The National Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week.
