Wilson Students Host an Author’s Tea
Students of Stacie Cleary, first grade teacher at Wilson Elementary School, invited family members to an Author’s Tea, where students showed off their developing writing skills. Since the beginning of the school year emphasis has developed from the use of capitals, punctuation, and proper spacing to details and strong endings.
The students' stories were "published" and bound into a book. During the tea, students read their own stories as well as other stories to their family members while enjoying snacks and hot chocolate.
The students are looking forward to a second Author’s Tea later in the school year, to show off their continuously developing writing skills.
