Horace Mann Students have a Sweet Idea for a Fundraiser
Recently, the Above the Influence group at Horace Mann Middle School had
a sweet idea. Fill four containers with yummy candy, have the students
pay $0.25 per guess for how much candy is in each container and use that
money to provide three students and their families from Horace Mann a
complete Thanksgiving Day meal. The meals include turkey, gravy, mashed
potatoes, stuffing, green beans, pie and a few extras. Students
purchased a guess or two during their lunch hour on Tuesday, November
22, 2011 and winners were announced and received their jar of candy on
Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
