Horace Mann Shows Holiday Spirit by Helping Others
At Horace Mann Middle School, students and staff members have pulled together as a family, showing true holiday spirit!   Fundraising for Horace Mann families’ 'Adopt-a-family' has been amazing.  There have been over 2,400 candy canes sold over the last two weeks. The candy bar sale alone has raised $500. With very generous donations from staff, students, the school store (Charger Mart), and Builder's Club, the total collection increased to $800 to spend on Horace Mann families to purchase gifts for the holiday season. A dance was also held on Tuesday, December 20th as a fundraiser for the Adopt-A-Family program and to help stock our Horace Mann food pantry.

When the shopping was all done, Horace Mann spent about $1,000 on the families. Through a community effort, students, staff and families were able to help support 11 families at the school!
