Mosaic Student Competes in State MATHCOUNTS Competition
Mosaic sixth-grader Eric Yang placed 30th out of 142 competitors at the state MATHCOUNTS competition on March 3 at the Lowell Center in Madison. “It was exciting to compete with many other students, but the problems were much harder at the state competition,” Eric said. “I think I did really well ... and hope to compete at state again next year and do even better!”

MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment club and competition program with the goal to inspire math excellence, confidence, and curiosity in U.S. middle school students. The 2012 Raytheon MATHCOUNTS National Competition will be May 11 in Orlando, Fla.
