Washington Students Plant Crocus Bulbs to Celebrate 100 Years
On Thursday, October 11th, 2012 Washington School for Comprehensive students each planted a crocus bulb to celebrate 100 years of excellence in education. 400 crocus bulbs were planted in the shape of a W so that each spring the community and students can enjoy the beauty of the flowers. Tom Caan, of Caan Floral and Greenhouse, guided the students and staff through the process, so the flowers will continue to grow and can be enjoyed year after year.
