Kohl’s Wild Theater Presentation at Cooper Elementary School
Earlier this school year, Cooper Elementary School students enjoyed an interactive performance called ‘A World of Water’ by Kohl’s Wild Theater. This conservation-themed theater performance utilized drama, songs and puppetry. The program taught Cooper students about the critical natural resource for all people and animals - water. Students were engaged in learning about how to protect water systems here in Wisconsin and around the globe. Students learned real life, applicable ways to protect local rivers. They also learned about ocean animals. Concepts included: river cleanup, the water cycle, ocean acidification and wild life inhabiting the waters. From the costumes, props and backdrop to the music and acting, the presentation was completely educational, completely engaging and completely fascinating. This program is offered through a team effort of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee and Kohl’s Cares.
