North High FBLA Students Take Top Spots at State Leadership Conference
North High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members recently traveled to Appleton, WI  to compete at the 60th Annual State FBLA Leadership Conference. The two day conference offered workshops and tours for members to increase their business knowledge as well as compete in business events. North High FBLA members also toured businesses, attended workshops, earned recognition for their professional dress, and also networked with chapters from throughout the state.

North had nearly 50 members competing in over 30 events. Overall, North High FBLA tied for fourth place. This follows a first place performance at the Regional Leadership Conference held in February.

Congratulations to the following North High students who placed in the top five and made it on the award stage:
 
Rachel Joas -  State Champion in Intro to Parli Pro.
 
Nate Davis, Alex Hopp and Sam Wang  - State Champions in Sports and Entertainment Management.
 
Tony Boeldt - second place in Intro to Information Technology.
 
Karley Campbell - second place in FBLA Principles and Procedures. 

Sam Wang - second place in Who's Who in FBLA.
 
Martha Schmeiser, Margaret Stanskas and Vinny Vitale - third place in Hospitality Management.
 
Claudette Beane - fourth place in Intro to Information Technology.

Caroline Hundley - fourth place in Business Math.

Brett Pokrzywinski - fourth place in Spreadsheet Applications.
 
Lucas Bouche, James Rohde and Shamus Zenk - fifth place in Management Information.

Karson Bell, Trevor Damkot and Daisy Mata fifth place in Marketing.

Emma Gentine and Adam Albinger - fifth place in Partnership with Business.

Students who place in the top 2 of each event earn the right to compete at the National Leadership Conference.
