Longfellow Elementary Families Enjoyed Annual Arts Showcase
Longfellow Elementary School families packed the gymnasium for the school’s annual Arts Showcase. The event began with a choral concert by the Longfellow students, titled ‘A Musical Trip Around the World’. Each grade level sang several songs, including a song that represented another culture. The Band and Orchestra students also performed several songs.

Immediately following the concert, the Longfellow Visual Art Gallery opened with a reception for the students, families and friends. Every Longfellow student displayed one or more of the works they created during the school year. Over 500 works of art were exhibited. Student representatives were stationed at each grade level display to described the art content used to create the works of art.

The Art Gallery will be open to members of the public for the next four weeks. Visitors should check in at the school office. Longfellow Elementary is located at 819 Kentucky Ave. Call 459-3580 with any questions.

This event has become a beloved annual event for the students, staff and families. Thank you to all who participated!
