North High School is pleased to announce the Innovator Fellows for the spring semester 2017. This semester's fellows are Caoilfhinn Rauwerdink - Writing, Katherine English - Art, and Panhou Lee - Writing and Art.
Innovator Fellowship is an undergraduate level opportunity offered at North High School to support and promote highly skilled dancers, musicians, actors, designers, visual artists, writers, and intrinsically motivated junior and senior level students through the development of their craft and pursuit of career aspirations within the arts through a project based, collaborative learning partnership within a multi-disciplinary community of creative thinkers.
These fellows will work creatively within a collaborative community of thinkers that enjoy working together to create business and marketing solutions in unique ways while carving a unique niche within their area of emphasis. Innovators will enjoy the beauty of working within a community of creative thinkers with support and direction. Innovator Fellows will utilize and improve critical thinking, collaborative, speaking (formal and informal), writing, research and reading skills. Each student will have an opportunity to become a creative thinking, collaborative, innovator engaged in further development of the arts citizen of our community.
Students have a dedicated space at Jake’s Cafe to work on their individual projects. The culmination of their work will be a public presentation in late May or early June.
One of North High's first Innovator Fellows graduate Liz Johnson, was recently recognized for her work on a film created in the fellowship program. Read the Sheboygan Press article here
