6. OKLAHOMA TORNADOES – Are you happy to have a warm bed and home? So would many of the people of Moore, Oklahoma, but most do not. The students in room 22 made a donation to the victims of last week's tornado. The students would like to challenge all of North High to join them in giving to the people of Moore, Oklahoma. A donation can is in the General Office, or you can go directly to www.redcross.org.

The signing party will still be at Deland Park from 2:45-6 p.m. and will feature music, snacks and a raffle in which 45 North High students will head home with prizes; the top prize being an iPod. There will also be food for purchase from Topper's Pizza, Gyros2Go and Flecks Curbside Grill. `
2. LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS? Well, have we got a deal for you!! Bookworm Gardens is offering a Youth Leadership Program for the summer. This opportunity is open for all students. You must be able to commit four hours per month between the months of June and October of this year. If you are interested, please plan on attending an informational open house at Bookworm Gardens on Wed., May 29 some time between 3:30-5:30 p.m. Pizza will be provided. Please pick up additional information in the student office if you are interested.`
3. ATTENTION FRESHMEN – There will be an informational National Honor Society meeting on Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the library. If you meet the GPA requirement, you should be earning your service hours already!! Don't miss out!!

1. UMPIRES WANTED – The Cleveland Athletic Club is currently seeking adult or high school age umpires for little league baseball games and girls modified fat-pitch softball games. Umpires will be compensated on a per game basis. All games are played at Veteran's Memorial park in Cleveland. For more information, contact Ron Schisel @ 889-1807.`

ATHLETIC CODE MEETING – Students that have never attended an activity code meeting and want to go out for a sport next year should plan to attend the activity code meeting on Monday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the field house. This includes all sports, debate and forensics. This meeting is mandatory before participating in any activity.
3. Using the semester final grades on a report card, a student who fails one or more course will be ineligible to participate in a fall sport for 15 school days, unless made up in summer school. All summer school classes must be approved by Athletic Director Dan Stengel.`
4. DIPLOMA DASH – Sat., June 8, 9:00 a.m. at Vollrath Park. It's a 1-mile grade school run/walk, a 5K Run/Walk and a 10K run. Cost is $10 for students (before May 24) and $12 after. Events will be timed for all. Application forms in the student office.
