Play-Modern Girl Tragedy
Modern Girl Tragedy is an original play that I wrote and that the company will revise and develop. I chose to do this piece because I believe it will provide a great opportunity for young actors to develop characters based in a setting that they can relate to and will challenge them as physical and emotional actors. It also gave me the chance to have several feature roles for girls, something that is lacking in most dramatic literature. The content is serious, edgy and personally challenging. My goal was to write in the style of an American Modern Tragedy. It therefore is centered around the struggles, vulnerability and ultimately tragedy that some youth face today. The production will be March 7 at 7:00 p.m. and March 8 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students, and $2.00 for children (The content is not appropriate for all ages). Tickets may be purchased by emailing me directly and following up with payment or you may purchase tickets from one of the actors who will have ticket order forms. There are only 100 seats available for each performance so please order yours soon!
