Diversity, Respect, Equality, Acceptance in Motion
D.R.E.A.M. is comprised of students who are united and committed to valuing and celebrating differences by putting Diversity, Respect, Equality and Acceptance in Motion. The vision is to foster an increased sense of community and peace through enhancing tolerance and promoting respect of students and staff through various educational experiences. The group's goal is to overcome and breakdown the barriers which exist in our school and community that get in the way of individuals feeling accepted and valued. Through open discussions and varied activities, D.R.E.A.M.'s goal is to help students:
- acquire understanding and respect for their own and other cultures
- have an opportunity to confront their own ideas about prejudice and acceptance
- learn how to resolve conflicts peacefully and
- become leaders in the task of building a more positive school environment for all.
