What is Student
Council?
According to Wikipedia, the definition of Student Council is:
a representative structure for students only,
through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in
partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the
school and its students. The student council helps share students’
ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school principals. They often also help raise
funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects
and school reform.
At North, Student
Council’s main projects include, but are not limited to:
- Homecoming week activities and dance
- Annual Holiday Breakfast
- Fall Blood Drive
- Spring Blood Drive

We wish to be perfectly clear: Student Council encourages and appreciates your input. If there is something you would like to see improved at North, if you have questions, concerns etc., please do not hesitate to utilize North’s welcoming student government. The email should include:
- Name
- Grade
- Contact Info (email or phone number)
- Description of concern/question: (Ex: I believe the open campus lunch results in many students returning late or skipping. This is harmful to students’ education.)
