Programs and Activities

With an emphasis on literacy, math and real-world science, Pigeon River students build a strong foundation in the core curriculum. To enhance student learning, specialists in music, art, and physical education work with students weekly. Below are additional programs and activities available at our school.

PACE Gifted and Talented Program
Pigeon River provides a challenging extension of the classroom curriculum for students who have been identified as gifted and talented.  These activities are designed to challenge students with rigorous concepts and develop their skills in their area of giftedness.  The program also offers challenges for high ability students who are not identified as gifted.  Math Olympiad and High Ability Reading groups are just two of the many options.  PACE is one way our school meets the varying needs of our students.  Brad Washuleski is the resource teacher and contact person for the program.
