Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Awareness Program (ATOD)

Overview of the ATOD

The Sheboygan Area School District’s ATOD Awareness Program is a comprehensive program that utilizes research-based curricula as well as other methods to educate students, parents, staff and community members about topics related to the use of alcohol and other drugs. An AODA grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction provides the SASD with a portion of the funds necessary to implement a consistent, district-wide program.

SASD ATOD Advisory Committee

The SASD ATOD Advisory Committee meets monthly to monitor the ATOD prevention activities within the SASD. The committee provides suggestions for change and/or continuation of programming. The SASD ATOD Advisory Committee reviews the District’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey data and is responsible for organizing Parent University. Parents, staff and community members are invited to serve as representatives on the SASD ATOD Advisory Committee.
