The Fitness Centers, sponsored by Aurora Health Care, at North and South High Schools offer state-of-the-art treadmills, step machines, stationary bikes, ellipticals and weight machines for your workout. A Community Recreation Department staff person will be present at all times to supervise, answer basic questions and demonstrate proper use of equipment.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND A ONE HOUR ORIENTATION BEFORE PARTICIPATING AT THE FITNESS CENTERS.
No appointment needed. Orientations will be offered Monday thru Thursday between 5 and 7 pm or on a drop-in as needed basis.
Closed: Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4
NORTH HIGH
Weekdays: September 1 thru August 31
School Year Hours: Mon. thru Fri. 5:15-7:45 am and 3:15-8:15 pm, Saturdays 6:30 am to noon. Non-school days: 5:15-10 am and 3:15-8:15 pm
Summer Hours: Mon. thru Thurs: 5:15-10:00 am & 3:00-8:00 pm; Fridays 5:15-10:00 am & 3:00-6:00 pm
Shutdown: Closed for equipment cleaning and maintenance - TBD
SOUTH HIGH
Weekdays: September 1 thru August 31
School Year Hours: Mon. thru Fri. 5:15-7:45 am and 3:15-8:15 pm, Saturdays 7:30 am to 1 pm. Non-school days: 5:15-10 am and 3:15-8:15 pm
Summer Hours: Mon. thru Thurs: 5:15-10:00 am & 3:00-8:00 pm; Fridays 5:15-10:00 am & 3:00-6:00 pm
Shutdown: Closed for equipment cleaning and maintenance - TBD
The Department reserves the right to change hours based on attendance and/or budgetary considerations.
Fee: Resident Adults: $30 annual equipment replacement and repair fee.
Resident Seniors 65 & older: $25 annual equipment replacement and repair fee.
Resident Non-SASD Students: $30 annual equipment replacement and repair fee.
Resident Adults/Seniors/Non-SASD Students: $2.00 daily fee (if you choose to not pay the $30/$25 yearly fee)
Non-Resident Adults & Students: $3.00 daily fee or $300 for the year
RENEW THE ANNUAL EQUIPMENT REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT FEE - generally the 3rd week of August
