Spicy Bean Dip
Makes 12 (2-tablespoon) servings.
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, undrained
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Cumin, Ground
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/4 teaspoon Oregano Leaves
1/8 teaspoon Red Pepper, Ground
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1. Drain beans, reserving 2 tablespoons liquid. Rinse and drain beans. Mix beans, reserved liquid, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, oregano and red pepper in blender or food processor; cover. Process until beans are coarsely chopped. Transfer mixture to small saucepan.
2. Cook on medium-low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Serve with baked or low fat tortilla chips or cut-up fresh vegetables.

Spicy Bean Dip Printable Recipe
Black Bean Brownies
1 15-oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
3 Tbsp canola oil, plus more for brushing
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Coarse salt, a pinch
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup sugar
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly brush an 8" x 8" baking pan with oil.
In food processor, process black beans until smooth. Add the eggs, oil, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, vanilla extract, and sugar; process until smooth. Add 1/4 cup chocolate chips and pulse a few times to fully mix. Transfer the batter to the pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips on top of the batter.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean

3/4 cup white sugar
1-3/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick plus 3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup oil
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
5-1/4 cups flour
6 ounces chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugars together; add oil and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Stir together dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add butter mixture into dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Form into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet patting down slightly. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375° Batter can be formed into dough balls and put in freezer to bake later.
