Math at Warriner Middle School is a unique type of class. Students are delivered most of their curriculum through an online program called Compass Learning. We are able to personalize math class. Students are assigned this math curriculum based on math readiness levels. This is determined by the STAR 360 math test as well as the Wisconsin State Forward Test and any other necessary information needed to get an accurate account of a student’s skills. Students are required to complete a certain number of math assignments a day to progress at one year’s growth. However, students are always welcome to speed up the pace and complete more than one year of math in a school year. We offer high school level classes for students achieving that level. Students also have the opportunity to meet with the math teacher once a week in a small group setting to work on basic and college readiness skills. During this time students work in groups of four to six to solidify skills needed throughout all areas of math.
