Family-School Liaison/Parent Resource Coordinator
Sheridan School is fortunate to have two staff positions to coordinate parental involvement in our school and also to maintain clear communication between school and home.

The Sheridan Parent Resource coordinator’s purpose is to provide support, information and a cooperative partnership between parents, school and the community by offering:

  • Assistance in making use of community resources
  • Coordination of referrals to outside agencies
  • Parent education
  • Communication/networking
  • Supplementary aids to ensure your children’s success in their education environment. 
  • Family involvement
  • General information about education and parenting.

Foster Grandparent Program
The Sheboygan Area School District is the only district in Sheboygan County to have this wonderful, nurturing program for our students. Click here to learn more about the Foster Grandparents in our school.

Lunch Buddies
Lunch Buddies are adults from the community who are matched with a student at our school. They get together, on a weekly basis during the school year, during a lunch period to form a relationship based on the needs of the child.

Parents Plus
Parents Plus is the parent-school group at Sheridan. Meetings are held every other month on the third Monday at 6:00 PM in the Library. While enjoying refreshments, we discuss school issues and establish open channels of communication between parents and school staff.

Partners in Reading
Volunteers from the community work with students in the lower grade levels to foster a love of reading. Volunteers read with students one-on-one or in small groups to build confidence in our young readers.
