Sheridan First Graders Visit Bookworm Gardens

First graders from Sheridan Elementary School were inspired by the beautiful surroundings at Bookworm Gardens. The children had been anticipating their visit for two weeks prior to the field trip. During that time, the three classrooms competed against each other to try to collect the most donations for the Gardens. The three classrooms collected a total of $260.

During their visit, the children investigated Winnie the Pooh's house, the covered wagon, and the fishpond. The students also had the opportunity to build fairy houses in the Woodland area, and to taste vegetables in Peter Rabbit's garden. One of their favorite areas was the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs section. The students loved seeing all of the "food" hanging from the trees.
