Attention all Students: The National Current Events Contest is scheduled for this coming Thursday, April 16. It will be held before and after school in Mr. Wagner's room, room 214. This is the last of four such contests given this school year and the winner will receive an award at the end of the year. There will be a posting of the current standings posted outside of Mr. Wagners room. If you did not participate in the first time – no worries - you can still participate. Show off your current events knowledge and maybe even earn some extra credit in your social studies class! Bring a charged Chromebook for the test. For more information, speak to any social studies teacher.

Attention all Students: This past weekend the South High Forensics Team traveled to Ripon for the 2015 WFCA state tournament. Student who distinguished themselves at the tournament include:
Hollis Rammer – 7th place in Student Congress
Devin Haas – 6th place in Solo Serious Acting
Amanda Hoffman – 4th place in Solo Humorous Acting
Samantha Zabel, Holly Reinl, Alexis Pautz, and Lacey Nufer – 4th place in Group Interpretation
Matt Matysik – 3rd place in Oral Interpretation of Literature
As a whole team, South High placed 4th in our division. Congratulations to the whole team for a successful season.

Attention all Students: If you have open mods for PLT and would like to use the fitness center please check the fitness center schedule posted on the large window for the fitness center. If you see it is open for use, then check with the teacher listed to see if there is room for you. We will allow 20-40 students depending on class use. If you use the fitness center you are expected to be exercising and following Redwing Way behaviors.

Attention all Swimmers: Coach T wants you to join his summer swim camp. Please sign up using the SASD website ASAP to reserve your spot. This is also a time to recruit friends to join and come learn out of season so their first season can be more successful. I will take all interested swimmers down to 7th grade if you have siblings.

Attention all Students: Trees for Tomorrow, a natural resources specialty school in Eagle River, is sponsoring a unique Natural Careers Workshop June 15 - 19. Students will have the opportunity to do fieldwork with natural resource professionals and agencies; to have hands-on outdoor skills and experiences; to get exposure to a range of outdoor careers; to receive strategies in selecting and applying to colleges; to visit with natural resource college representatives; and to make connections and friends with others who share the same outdoor interests. See Mr. Heling in the Counseling Center if you are interested as the online application needs to be submitted by April 30th!

Attention FBLA Members:
our general membership meeting is being moved from Thursday 4/16 to Friday 4/17. Mr. Stone will not be in school on Thursday. If you have questions, see him.

Attention all Students: World Languages Club will be having a movie night this coming Tuesday, April 14th from 6-8 pm. We will be showing a Spanish film with English subtitles.

Attention all Students: Anyone planning on being silent on April 17th must stop by room 274 by the end of the day today to sign up. Only students who sign up will have permission to be silent on that day during school.

Take time to stop at the HelpDesk! We are here for YOU!

Attention all Students: Feats N Follies is Saturday April 18th. There will be a brat fry sponsored by Girls' Basketball, open house and car smashing fundraiser for the freshman class from 4-7. Come see your seniors take on SHS staff in a basketball game at 4:30 in the redwing gym, and don't forget about the show at 7pm! We have a ton of great acts planned so come out and support your peers.

Attention all Seniors: There will be two meetings for all seniors in the upcoming month. On Tuesday, April 21st, during homeroom, seniors will come to the auditorium to get a first look at important dates for your end-of-year events. On Tuesday, April 28th, (a testing day for 9th and 10th graders), you will come to the auditorium at 10:00am for a presentation about expectations--ours and yours--for each of those important dates. We’ll remind you of these meetings again when they get closer!

Stop in room 112 (Mr. Rank's room) and pick up your summer basketball packet of information that includes calendars, times for the Redwing Way and open gyms.

Attention Mr. Stone's Intro to Business Students: Have you been affected by your grandparent, parent, or sibling's diagnosis of cancer? If so, consider attending a two-day summer retreat through Angel on My Shoulder. These weekend retreats are cost-free and include transportation from pick-up locations throughout the state. There are camps specific to young teens aged 13 - 15 years old, as well as camps for those aged 16 - 18. Attention Track Team Members: The Fayes Pizza delivery that was supposed to be on Tuesday, April 21st, has been changed to Thursday, April 23rd. Please make the necessary arrangements to pick up your pizzas after practice on Thursday. We do not have the facilities to store your pizzas.
