Student Council Planning Lip Dub
Story by: Rachel Fettig
This year, Student Council had an idea on a new way to help the incoming freshman have a smoother transition to high school.
Senior Rachel Smith, junior Jesus Rivera, and Student Council adviser Jon Schrank are in charge of making a music video called Lip Dub. Lip Dub is combining lip-syncing and audio dubbing to make a music video.
Smith said they will be making this music video to show all the clubs and activities that the students can join, and also show the layout of South High.
“We are going to have one person singing while walking backwards, with the clubs on each side of the hallway in a line,” stated Smith.
With the support of principal Michael Trimberger, Smith hopes to be able to film on Friday, Jan. 19 or during one of the exam make up periods.
After the video is made, Student Council plans on having the Red Team members show it to the freshman on the first day of school. Smith hopes all the clubs and activities agree to be in the music video so that the freshman receive a clear view of everything that South has to offer to the many different types of students.
