    SASD Recognizes Employees and Volunteers of the Year
    The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) Board of Education honored nine SASD employees who have received an “Employee of the Year” award and five community members were recognized as a “Volunteer of the Year.” The award ceremony was held at May’s regular school board meeting at Sheboygan North High School.

    Congratulations to the following recipients:

    Michael Trimberger, Administrator of the Year, Principal at South High School

    Susan Wiech, Custodian/Maintenance/Technician of the Year, Head Custodian at Urban Middle School

    Marcia Doyle, Educational Assistant of the Year, Educational Assistant at Horace Mann Middle School

    Lyn Jungbluth, Food Service Employee of the Year , Head Cook in the Central Kitchen

    Lori Anderson, Secretary of the Year, Secretary at Jefferson Elementary School

    Diane Moon, Elementary Teacher of the Year, Fifth Grade Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School

    Jody Bruflat, Middle School Teacher of the Year, Social Studies Teacher at Warriner Middle School

    Steven Kiel, High School Teacher of the Year, Technology Education Teacher at North High School

    Kevin Formolo, Specialist Teacher of the Year, Dean of Students / Guidance Counselor at South High

    Jamie Johnson, Adult-Elementary Level Volunteer, volunteers at James Madison Elementary School

    Elisabeth Pickel, Adult-Secondary Level Volunteer, volunteers at North High School

    Joann Loewen & Eldonna LaPean, Intergenerational Volunteer Co-Recipients, volunteer at the Early Learning Center

    Jon Kimme, Youth Volunteer / Peer Tutor, volunteers at the Elementary School for the Arts and Academics (ESAA)

    The Employees of the Year receive a framed certificate in commemoration of his/her recognition and their name is added to the plaque that is displayed outside the Board of Education room honoring past recipients. In addition, each recipient will receive one additional vacation/personal day. The Volunteers of the Year receive a framed certificate to commemorate his/her recognition

    SASD employees, students, parents or community members or agencies can nominate an employee or volunteer. The nomination process consists of a completed nomination form accompanied by letters of recommendation. A list of past award winners can be found on the SASD website:
