Washington in the News

Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy has a winner! On October 6th, representatives from Office Max paid a surprise visit to Karin Bulkow and her kindergarten class. Deb Ashworth, a Washington office employee, for this honor, nominated Bulkow.

Bulkow received a box of classroom resources and a vase of flowers. The children were very excited about this event. Office Max presented Ms. Bulkow and her class with supplies that included a digital camera, a new chair, and numerous classroom supplies. All of the teachers at Washington were given a money-off coupon to be used at Office Max

The Adopt-A-Classroom program invites the community into the classroom in support of teachers and their students. By adopting a classroom, donors form partnerships with specific classrooms providing financial and moral support. The result is a meaningful contribution to education in which donors experience the impact of their efforts and celebrate in a classroom's success.
