Points of Pride

Families who choose Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy have a lot to be proud of in their school.

Here are some of the school's proudest achievements:

  • Happy 100th Birthday, Washington!  We will be celebrating in various ways throughout the 2012/13 school year.

  • Winner of Exemplary Reading Program Award from the Wisconsin State Reading Association and the International Reading Association. The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding reading and language arts programs at all grade levels and to call the public's attention to outstanding programs in schools throughout North America.

  • Each year, our school celebrates a unique event, dubbed Georgie's Great Day. Washington has over 50 events for students to choose from, some are field trips and some happen in the building. Some activities are led by teachers, one by a school board member, some by community members. There is always one big event that all students must attend.
