Wilson PTA Funds Playground Equipment
Wilson students enjoy the beautiful fall weather while playing on the newly installed playground equipment purchased by the Wilson PTA.  The PTA set a three year goal to raise funds to purchase new equipment.  Through brat frys, dances, ice cream socials, read-a-thons, penny drives, chore wars, and school supply sales the students, parents, and staff reached their goal.

The project took three years and had two phases.  Phase 1 was installed in 2010, for which the PTA raised $5,270.  Phase 2 was installed in the summer of 2011, for which the PTA raised $10,577.

Various other donations were made to help complete the playground equipment project:
  • Student Council $800
  • Walmart  $1,000
  • Box Tops for Education $833
  • 2011 Student Readathon  $1,393
  • PTA $2,086
  • M&I  $250
  • anonymous donation  $1,000
