Wilson First Graders Host Author’s Tea
Students in Stacie Cleary's first grade class at Wilson Elementary
School recently held an Author's Tea. At the event, parents and other
invited guests enjoyed tea,
cocoa, juice and cookies while hearing the stories read to them by the
children.
During writing workshop, students wrote about a real life experience then went on to develop the experience into a detailed story. Students edited the stories, checked spelling, punctuation, capitals, and details and eventually compiled and published their stories into a book.
The students enjoyed being hosts and are eagerly looking forward to their spring author's tea.
