$2,000 Hiring Bonus offered for Special Education Assistants for the 2026-27 school year.

  • $2,000 hiring bonus offered for staff members in full-time, 7 hour/day or higher positions only.
  • Bonus is prorated based on hire date.
  • Bonus is paid out $500 per semester for two years. The first payment received after completion of the first semester; second payment received upon completion of the school year.

Special Ed Assistant, James Madison Elementary School

Jennifer Boy is a dedicated Special Education Assistant at James Madison Elementary who brings creativity, compassion, and heart to her work each day. Known for her ability to connect with students in meaningful ways, Jennifer meets each child where they are by finding new approaches, offering encouragement, and creating an environment where students feel safe, supported, and capable. Whether through thoughtful organization, creative touches, or simply taking the time to listen, she helps students experience those powerful “aha” moments that build confidence and joy in learning.

Brandon Schmidt

Head Custodian, South High School

As Head Custodian, Brandon takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-cared-for environment and is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. His impact extends beyond the day-to-day through his leadership of South’s Service Day, where he helps organize and guide meaningful in-building activities that bring people together. Known for his positivity and strong relationships with students and staff, Brandon’s genuine love for his work and the people around him reflects the heart of the Sheboygan Area School District.
