$2,000 Hiring Bonus offered for Special Education Assistants for the 2026-27 school year.
$2,000 hiring bonus offered for staff members in full-time, 7 hour/day or higher positions only.
Bonus is prorated based on hire date.
Bonus is paid out $500 per semester for two years. The first payment received after completion of the first semester; second payment received upon completion of the school year.
🗨️ What do you enjoy most about working with students and staff in your role? Our staff is the best! I cannot speak highly enough of my team! I may be biased, but I believe we also have the best students! We have high expectations for our students, and we try to be diligent about promoting our motto: “Work hard and be kind.” Humor is also a major part of our school's dynamic. It is not unusual to see playful banter between staff and students at Warriner.
🗨️ Can you share a moment when you knew your support made a difference for a student or staff member? What makes Warriner special is the genuine care our staff has for students, fostering sincere relationships. At times, students seek conversations to share their struggles. One student, facing significant challenges at home, stood out in particular. She needed someone to confide in and was incredibly appreciative of my support. Although she has since moved on, I’m glad to say she is doing well and still keeps in touch.
🗨️ What’s something people might not realize about the work that goes into supporting technology in a school? Well, who would think the biggest technology issue affecting our school is students not remembering to bring their Chromebooks, chargers, or earbuds to school? In all seriousness, our school is a little different from other schools. Because we are small, we all jump in to help one another whenever needed. In addition to managing technology, I support language arts classes, send out progress reports, assist with project-based learning, and sometimes help in the office or classrooms. I've also created the school yearbooks for many years. Flexibility is key, and I love to help however I can!
🗨️ What’s one thing students or staff can always count on you for? I'm reliable and willing to help without complaining. I think I have a fun, happy attitude. I have a sarcastic sense of humor, and I really do have a lot of fun with our staff and students.
