SASD - Professional Development and Growth Model
The Sheboygan Area School District's model for professional development and growth has been designed to provide a clear framework and opportunity for teachers to be involved in continuous professional growth. The model provides the structure for productive and professional discussions about their own professional development and growth.
The process is completed through a three-year cycle. The first two years of the cycle are called the Formative Cycle, while the third year is the Summative Cycle. Teachers in the three-year probationary period of employment with the SASD remain in the Summative Cycle for those years.
