So what's next?

CHILD FIND is a developmental screening program for young children living in the Sheboygan Area School District. CHILD FIND screening helps identify if a child is appropriately developing both physically and emotionally. At the screening site, school professionals are on hand to answer questions parents may have about their child’s development. In addition, information about a variety of community resources is available.  The CHILD FIND service is provided at no charge to the parent, and all information gathered is confidential. Screenings are typically held in early August.

Your Initial Family Visit is an opportunity for you and your child to come into the school to meet the teacher and see the classroom prior to the first day of school. A fun activity is planned for the child, parent and teacher to complete together and information about the upcoming school year is shared. This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have.

You will be contacted by a member of the school staff to schedule a CHILD FIND screening and to set up your initial family visit at school.
