What is the school matrix?

The school matrix explains what the expectations are at Cooper School in various areas. They describe what it looks like to be respectful, responsible, and safe.

Assemblies are held once per month to bring Cooper students together. The assemblies consist of the Cooper School pledge, birthdays are celebrated, new students are welcomed, and a fun activity with student involvement.

What are Office Discipline Referrals (ODR’s)?

Office Discipline Referrals (ODR’s) are used to document problem behavior and communicate with parents. The documentation is used to analyze trends and develop Cool Tools/Behavioral Lesson Plans to address problem areas and behavior.

Why do students have quarterly celebrations?

Every quarter, we do a celebration as a way to build a positive community at Cooper School. It is also a way to thank our students for their positive behavior and following the school wide matrix.
