Lindsay Brown grew up in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin and graduated from Lakeland University with a B.S. in English and Education in 2015. She had the privilege of beginning her teaching career at North High School as a student teacher. After teaching for two years in Adams, Wisconsin, she had the opportunity to return to Sheboygan, joining North’s English Department in 2018.

When not reading books or grading essays, she can be found enjoying the outdoors either on horseback or in her kayak. She loves traveling and dreams of experiencing one of Shakespeare’s plays in the reconstructed Globe Theater.

As a teacher and life-long learner, her goal is to encourage students to come to a true appreciation of reading, literature, and language arts. Through language arts and literature, students learn how ideas, hopes, and dreams can be clearly represented through writing as they practice communicating their own thoughts and goals. Critical thinking and the ability to express ideas through written communication are key qualities for success and social engagement in this modern world. Beyond the classroom, these skills equip students to be imaginative life-long learners and leaders who positively engage in society and improve the world around them.
