I am very excited to be a part of the learning community here at North High School and look forward to getting to know each of you as we explore music together. Research has proven that the study of music has significant impact on student performance in other subject areas.

My life has always centered around music; and I feel that it is such an important part of our experience. As an educator, I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn music and to express themselves musically. I am excited to have the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with my students; and strive to create meaningful and positive learning experiences that foster their creativity in an environment where everyone is valued and free to take creative risks.

I am a graduate of Northland College in Ashland, WI where I earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Instumental, Choral, and General Music Education. During my time in Ashland I served as principal trumpet with the Chequamegon Symphony Orchestra and was a guest conductor of the Symphony. Away from school I enjoy the outoors (camping, hiking, swimming), traveling , attending concerts, hockey games (Go Blackhwaks) or Badger hockey and football games. I perform on trumpet with the Oshkosh Area Community Band and other groups around the region.

The entire staff at North is dedicated to providing each student with a unique and challenging education that prepares them for the future.

Welcome to North High School, and to the North High Bands!
