I have been here for a while. I came to North High as a Special Education teacher for the 1986-87 school year and have been here ever since. Before coming to North, I spent one year in the Special Education department at South High School. As I like to tell people, “I may be the staff person that has been here the longest in continuous years, but I am by no means the oldest person here.
I am not a hard person to find at North High School. I have been involved in working a variety of co-curricular events through the years. I also a Girls Basketball coach at North for nine years and at South for 8 years on the junior varsity and varsity level. Since hanging up the coaching gear, I have served as the Special Education Department Chairperson.
Outside the walls of North High, you will find me involved with Special Olympics and the Sheboygan Adult Program in the sport of golf as a peer partner for an athlete. I also assist with conducting the Basketball District Meet the last few years at South High School. I am also involved with the Sheboygan Elks Lodge Gridiron Committee as their chairman. The committee raises funds to award scholarships, support youth sports activities throughout Sheboygan County and to conduct the annual Sports Banquet for senior letter winners at North, South, Kohler, Christian and Lutheran.
I am also a graduate of North High School. This place was a pretty neat place when I was a student. Lots of activity and vibrant and interesting personalities. Now as a teacher, I can say the same thing. Lots of activities and personalities that make education fun.
