Welcome to the Sheboygan North High School Science Department! I teach Physics and Biology. I am a graduate of UW-Milwaukee where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I also hold a Post-Baccalaureate from the University of Arizona in Education. I earned my Master of Education degree with emphasis in Physics from UW-River Falls. I have been teaching Science for a total of 22 years with the last 18 years in the Sheboygan Area School District. I am thrilled to be a member of the North High School Learning Community! Great things are happening at North!

Science has always been a big part of my life. The laws and principles of science that govern how things happen were operating long before humans tried to understand them and put them in writing. The rules of science, as we know them, do not come from immortal degrees. These laws exist because they seem to explain how things work better than any other explanation that has been tried.

In the words of Henri Poincare, “The scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, and he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, and if nature were not worth knowing, life would not be worth living.”

I am very excited to have the opportunity to share my passion for and knowledge of science with students at North High.
