The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District.                                                              GRADE 1 TEACHER
                       WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in elementary education, grades 1-6.
2. Training and experience in:
• emergent reading instruction and intervention strategies,
• CGI math or similar problem solving approach,
• Gradual Release of Responsibility Reading Model
• Common Core State Standards
• hands-on and inquiry based science approaches,
• designing and implementing integrated instructional opportunities that engage children in their learning, provide for individual needs, promote creativity, and challenge children to excel,
• using instructional technology to support student learning.
3. Knowledge of and experience with RtI, interventions, MAP Assessment, scaffolding of learning, Differentiated Instruction, and Large Effect Size Strategies.

Evidence of commitment to own professional growth. Ability and willingness to work as part of a collegial team. Willingness to take an active role in making decisions and sharing responsibilities. Evidence of successful parent involvement strategies. Prior successful experience working with a diverse student population (CWD, ELL, PACE, etc.) in an integrated setting. Participation in PTO activities.
