The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District.                                                      EARLY LEARNING CENTER

1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in ESL Birth - Grade 5 and Bilingual Education (or have 12 or more credits toward Bilingual [Spanish] certification). Prefer additional certification in elementary education.
2. Experience working with bilingual students on either a pullout or in-class basis.
3. Additional content area certification preferred.
4. Ability to work as part of a collegial team.
5. Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Develop and present appropriate classroom instructional activities to match the needs of a diverse population of four-year-olds learning English as their second language. Plan and integrate home visits with ongoing classroom instruction. Complete weekly home visits and other family involvement activities. Provide positive teamwork with other staff, family and community members. Provide supervision and training of classroom educational assistant. Complete regular student assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress. Actively contribute to the professional growth of the school and district-at-large. Perform other duties as required by the position or as assigned.
