The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District.                                                FRENCH TEACHER - 7.5% POSITION
                                                    (B Days - 4th Hour - All Year)
                                                  HORACE MANN MIDDLE SCHOOL

1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in French, grades 9-12, with grades 7-12 certification preferred.
2. Previous teaching experience at the middle school level.
3. Must be able to successfully integrate speaking, writing, listening, and reading instruction within the curriculum.
4. Evidence of knowledge and application of or willingness to become knowledgeable with application in the following topics over the next three years: Understanding by Design, Assessment for Learning, Differentiated Instruction, Effective Classroom Management Strategies, Research-based Classroom Instruction Strategies that Impact Student Achievement, and Secondary Reading in the Content Area.

Certification in other languages and/or other subject areas is preferred. Must be interested in and knowledgeable of a variety of forms of communication, including oral, written, and non-verbal communication. Must be knowledgeable in a variety of media used in communication. Training in assessment and meeting state standards is desirable.
