Wow! What a fantastic show of support on Saturday night! SHAKE OUT was a huge success.
We are still processing final donations and outstanding bills, but we are estimating well over $70,000 in net proceeds!
Some of the highlights were:
- Pre-recorded entertainment featured staff, students and parents in LCA's version of Grease. Lots of laughs were heard over parodies, "Look at Me, I'm Katie B" and "Middle School Burnout." And "Greased Lightning" was a hit with many staff performers and Mr. Christenson. Who knew he could sing?
- Carnival games like Pick-a-Duck, Mystery Jewelry Raffle, and Bag Toss brought in nearly $5000 in proceeds.
- We sold 1126 pre-event raffle tickets. As promised, Mrs. Beine will arrange an ice cream treat to students for reaching our goal.
- An unbelievable assortment and quantity of silent auction items.
- Awesome live auction items and class projects!
- 305 in attendance. You missed it? Be sure to join the fun next year!
The support for the event was overwhelming and indicative of how LCA families and community members work tirelessly together to meet our mission to bring the best education possible to our students. For this who donated, attended, purchased auction items, volunteered, solicited donations, and purchased and sold raffle tickets, THANK YOU! On behalf of the committee, staff and board, we are so grateful for your support.

This year our proceeds will be used to refresh and enhance our physical education program, including purchasing equipment for extra-curricular sports. We will also be purchasing lighting and sound equipment for our stage. Thank you for your support of SHAKE OUT 2023!
