Groundbreaking for 29th Student-Built House

Groundbreaking for 29th Student-Built House

North and South High School students, staff, and guests attended a Groundbreaking Ceremony for House Construction Project 2026 on Tuesday, September 8 at the construction site in the Stonebrook Crossing Subdivision on the south side of Sheboygan. Project 2026 is the 29th home that will be built by SASD students enrolled in Career & Technical Education classes from Sheboygan North and Sheboygan South High Schools.

North High School graduate Madeline Gilson designed the house that will be built. Her design was selected last spring from the plans drawn by all students enrolled in our Project Lead the Way Civil Engineering and Architecture class.

This is the eleventh home built under the direction of instructor and project manager Ted Schermetzler and the sixth student-built home in the Stonebrook Crossing subdivision by Werner Homes.
