Longfellow Hosts Hands-On Family Technology Night

Longfellow Hosts Hands-On Family Technology Night

At Longfellow Elementary School, learning and innovation recently came together during a fun-filled Family Technology Night hosted by the district’s Instructional Technology Team. Families were invited to explore some of the engaging technology tools students use during the school day while learning how technology can support creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

The evening featured a variety of interactive stations designed for hands-on family fun. Students and families built LEGO creations inspired by their favorite parts of school, explored immersive virtual-reality animal adventures, experimented with coding using Ozobots, and navigated Sphero robots through exciting maze challenges.

Families also had the opportunity to explore responsible and creative uses of artificial intelligence through the Magic School AI Fun Lab, where students generated jokes, creative prompts, and conversations with famous characters in a safe, school-appropriate environment.

Adding to the excitement, members of the North and South High School Red Raider Robotics Club showcased robots and gave families a chance to interact with student-built technology.

The event highlighted the many ways technology is helping engage students across the district while creating memorable learning experiences for the entire family!
