Student-Created Artwork Celebrates Partnership and Community

Student-Created Artwork Celebrates Partnership and Community

The Sheboygan Area School District's Instructional Technology Department recently collaborated with the South High School Art Department to create a custom Lakeland University logo to present to the school.

Hailey Fischer, a junior at South High School, created the new art installation celebrating creativity and collaboration. The piece features a unique background made from artwork created by more than 1,500 fourth- and fifth-grade students during STEAMfest, bringing students from across grade levels together in a meaningful way.

Hailey spent approximately three weeks designing and assembling the piece, carefully cutting each background element by hand. The result is a powerful representation of student creativity, teamwork, and dedication.

Adding to the project's significance, Hailey will begin classes at Lakeland University next semester through the district’s partnership program, where she plans to pursue nursing. Her involvement in this project reflects both her artistic talent and her future academic goals.

This artwork was created as a gift to Lakeland in appreciation for the many ways they support our students and staff. Through this piece, the district aimed to give back and recognize a valued partner who continues to make a positive impact on our school community.
