Meet Principal Branson

Hi, Horace Mann Community! I’m thrilled to be joining the team as your new principal.

Moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family has been wonderful, and stepping into this role makes the transition even better. Before moving into administration, I spent several years as a Special Education teacher in both Wisconsin and Tennessee, working with middle and high school students across all core subjects. Those classroom experiences shaped my belief that every student brings something unique and valuable to our school community.

My top priority is ensuring Horace Mann is a place where every student and staff member feels supported, included, and excited to come to school each day. Outside of school, my wife and I stay busy with our three kids. When I’m not with family or at work—which is rare—I enjoy tackling home remodeling projects or spending time working on my 1965 Ford.

Middle school is such a fun, dynamic stage of life, and I’m truly looking forward to partnering with all of you to make this an outstanding year at HMMS.
