Sophomore Parent ACP Information Sessions

Dear Sophomore Parents/Guardians:

It’s hard to believe your high school years are almost half over! Soon you’ll be planning for life after North High School—whether that means college, vocational/technical school, the military, or the workforce. We want you to feel prepared, and having the right information is the first step.

During Parent Teacher Conferences, on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the NHS IMC AND Friday, February 27th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., in the NHS Commons, School Counselors will host Sophomore Parent ACP Info Sessions. Please consider attending one of the options that best fit your schedule. We’ll review key information, including timelines, post-secondary resources (college, military, and workforce), career exploration resources, Junior and Senior course and program options, and more to help guide the next steps.

In Spring, School Counselors will meet with students in small group sessions. These student-only meetings will include exploring careers and post-secondary options in XELLO, reviewing credit checks, and planning future year courses.  Once your child attends that meeting, you will be receiving an email highlighting their high school and post-secondary goals and career interests, to help aid in any continued discussions at home.

If you would like to meet individually to review any information covered or answer additional questions that you might have, please contact your child’s counselor to set up a time to meet.
