James Madison Students Walk to School
More than 100 James Madison Elementary School students, siblings, family and staff members participated in national Walk to School Day. Many of the participants met at Veteran's Park and walked the rest of the way to school together.
The school's goal for the week was to promote physical activity, pedestrian safety and concern for the environment. In addition to walking the school, the students were encouraged to walk during the school day during an all-school, supervised walk around the block.
