Two Sheboygan North High School culinary students have been offered
the opportunity to be Celebrity Guest Chefs in the Kohler Chefs' Challenge
at the Annual Food and Wine Experience, October 23, 6-8 p.m.
The students won the opportunity through fundraising efforts to
team up with Destination Kohler chefs. Six teams of Destination
Kohler Chefs and Celebrity Guest Chefs working side by side will
turn surprise ingredients into culinary masterpieces. Each team
has 30 minutes to evaluate their supplies, cook and present their
The North High culinary students partnering with the Kohler Destination
Chefs are Raven Neils and Alex Theodoroff. Both students participate
in North High School's Hospitality Foods/ProStart Co-op program
with Neils working at Margaux and Theodoroff at Il Ritrovo.
The Celebrity Guest Chef that is teamed with The Best of Show
Winner will receive a meal for six prepared by a Destination Kohler
Chef. The winning Guest Celebrity Chef and Destination Kohler Chef
will coordinate a menu to include appetizer, salad, entree, paired
with a dinner wine (for the legal adults in the group) and dessert.
"Last year was the first time we participated in this competition
and the experience was spectacular," said Karen Sullivan,
culinary instructor at North High School. "We wish our students
the best of luck and hope they enjoy this exceptional opportunity."
Due to the opportunity presented to North High School from the
Woodlake Market and the awesome generosity of their sponsors, the
students have already raised over $800 for their Culinary Club
activities and expenses.
