New Name for Charter High School
Face2Face Charter High School Governing Board voted to change the name
of the school to the George D. Warriner High School for Personalized
Learning in honor of George Warriner, founder of the school who passed
away July 2008.
The George D.
Warriner High School for Personalized Learning offers an opportunity
for students to gain a Sheboygan Area School District high school
diploma through a custom learning plan that fits with students'
learning styles, interests, aptitudes and schedules. Each student has a
uniquely designed curriculum that takes a fundamentally different
approach to learning by focusing on how and when individuals learn best.
worked diligently over the last few years to start a school with the
purpose of reaching students through a curriculum which includes
project based learning, internships with local businesses, courses in
21st Century skills and online coursework.
the last two years Warriner's vision grew from reaching 35 students
last year to 71 students this year. As the school grows more students
will be able to experience his vision of "finding what students love
and giving them the opportunity to do it."
Warriner High School will host a dedication of the school on January 22 at the school located at 721 N. 6t St.
